The second video I’m almost done creating is a video highlighting our travels over the years, from way back in 2003 when we started travel as a couple, to today. Even though I was using Adobe Premier Elements for the first time, it took me about half the time to edit this video than it would have in my old software! It’s far from perfect (since I’m still learning!), but I think it’s a great start. Here’s the first video that I edited using Adobe Premier Elements: an unboxing of the AKASO V50X action camera (under $100). What I really like is that Adobe Premiere Elements is a one time purchase, not a subscription model like its more expensive cousin. While Premiere Elements is a simpler version, it still offers plenty of options for making videos stand out by adding elements like background audio and the ability to edit video quality. I’m solidly in the intermediate camp, but always looking for a video editor that’s especially easy to use. It’s made for beginner or intermediate video editors.

I don’t currently use the organizer feature, but I have heard that there are some improvements to that in this version. This is the source you will want to refer to so you can see what has changed in the last few versions. The best thing you can do is to get a good look at the comparison buying guide chart to show what is new. If you already have PSE 2020 and use it primarily for digital scrapbooking, you don’t need this upgrade as there are not any significant changes in the expert work mode. If you use PSE for a lot of photo editing and/or to create images for social media, this version is worth the upgrade. Remember that you get a discount if you are upgrading from an older version. If you can’t afford the upgrade, consider putting it on your wish list for later or give Santa a few hints. The 20 versions have such great improvements over older releases.
If you are using a version older than PSE 2020 and can afford to upgrade, I definitely recommend it. It’s also fabulous for editing photos and this new version has even more options to make creative masterpieces from your photographs.Īfter years of doing this, I already know the question I will get asked the most - “Do I need to upgrade?” - as always, my answer is “It depends” 😀 It’s a standalone product that does NOT require a subscription or cloud-based service.
I also use it for a lot of my design work. Adobe Photoshop Elements (PSE) is my favorite program to use for creating digital scrapbook layouts on my computer.
